The Veteran Approved Network and the Travis Manion Foundation have joined forces with the 2023 9/11 Heroes run and the Fallen Hero Kids Dash. The 9/11 Heroes Run has long taken place in Lithia, Florida each September, and the Fallen Hero event typically takes place on the same day. The two organizations decided to combine forces in a unified effort to honor and support all heroes. This year, the 9/11 Heroes Run and the Fallen Hero Kids Dash will take place at Al Lopez Park in Tampa, Florida on 9 September 2023. The Fallen Hero 5k | 10k and 9/11 Heroes Run are a way for us to come together to honor and remember our fallen heroes while paying tribute to those that are currently in the line of duty.

Bravery, strength, hard work, commitment, and dedication are just a few words to describe the men and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. This race is meant to honor that. While we run and push past our limits, each step of our journey is dedicated to those who have died for us and who continue to put their life on the line in service to our country and community. To honor fallen heroes, our remembrance signs are placed along the race route reminding us that our fallen heroes may be gone but they are not forgotten!

Proceeds from the 9/11 Heroes Run will benefit the Travis Manion Foundation. Proceeds from the Fallen Hero Kids Dash will benefit the Veteran Approved Network in its mission of funding free events for Veterans and their families in the Tampa Bay area.
