Each September, Tampa Bay’s children come together to honor heroes. They are reminded of the sacrifices made, they see the Colors posted, they participate in the National Anthem, and then they run. They run their hearts out, and when they reach the finish line, they are awarded with a medal to memorialize the day, their efforts, and heroes. 

As the years tick by and 9/11 2001 moves farther into the past, it is our responsibility to commemorate the fallen, and honor the heroes still with us. We must teach our children about sacrifice and service, and through the annual Fallen Hero Kids Dash, we have an opportunity.
